Did some quick sketches from references tonight. Think I might try and work this one up into a painting.

Hi Rose,

Been reading your posts .... catching up. Glad to know I'm not the only one who's art table has been buried under other stuff lately! I'm just now digging out and actually making art.

I LOVE the quote about painting the smells of a place, rather than the visuals. Going to think on that one for a while.

Teresa, I think it's the time of year, everyone is busy! I thought that was a great quote too, not sure I can achieve it, but I'll keep it in mind.

Face to Face Lately I’ve struggled a bit – life is busy, the art desk has been buried – and even when I could squeeze in time I just couldn’t find a subject I liked. The other night I had about twenty minutes before bedtime. So I grabbed the magazine nearby,a few colored pencils and told myself to just play around. It was fun to be exploring the face again. Tonight I did a bit more work. Might be a few more of these studies and practice pieces ahead.

Todays Creations Doesn’t that look yummy? It was, I can assure you. :D At lunch today I decided to just throw together the leftovers into a salad. Here’s the whole thing: The diet ninjas will notice that there is a generous helping of feta cheese included…there is no defense for that, so the excuse is orange and feta is a fabulous combination that I cannot resist. The other creation I began today: And now for some Steeler football!
